Gladden Fields


The third and final part of the Lord of the Ring trilogy opens, as always, with a beautiful Howard Shore composition. The Fellowship of the Ring and the Two Towers both opened with a mellow musical introduction that swelled gradually to accompany the action scenes. In the Return of the King, however, the music never reaches such heights, for the scene is somewhat different.

Revelations – Part Three


While Sam is reintegrating hope into their journey with his speech, Faramir stands close by hearing his every word. After his near-death experience under the tip of the Sting, Sam is startled by Faramir`s presence. Since the Men appear to be a threat to them as their captors, it is only understandable Sam would react in this way. However, as he is about to discover, his speech did not only affect his little company.

The Last March of the Ents


Professor Tolkien gave the Ents explicit voices, thoughts and a language of their own. It is an exaggerated representation of what occurs in nature. The trees may not walk and talk, as they do in Tolkien`s writings, but they communicate in their own way nevertheless. Just because we can`t see it, does not mean it doesn`t exist.
